Good evening!

Hey there. Right, what’s been happening today? I went to Fordam this morning. It was very good, Mike Neville was speaking on Psalm 2. They’re going to be running a series on how the Psalms and the New Testament link together, I’m glad that I’m going to be there because it’s something which I would really like to find out more about 🙂

Afterwards, I went to lunch with Philippa and her parents, then back to her flat to help clear up. Then her parents left, and we came back here to Claremont Road, and … well, didn’t do all that much. Chatted to flatmates (Alex, Ash and Sarah are now back!) and listened to music and various things. She left about 9:30 on the bus, and then I just spent time chatting to flatmates and stuff. It’s so good to be back as usual! Holidays are always rather slow, but now I’m back things are picking up again. I do so enjoy being a student, although I don’t think I could take too much more of it in terms of the workload! Whilst I am capable of doing all the work, the cycle of assignments and exams etc does take its toll after a while. This is why I’m not doing a masters!

Anyway, I thought I might as well put another quote here which I really like…

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate,
Our deepest fear is that we
are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that
other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to make manifest the glory
of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our prescience automatically liberates others.

MARIANNE WILLIAMSON

It certainly spoke a lot to me. We should believe in ourselves, there is a lot to be said for ‘we can all live as high as the dreams we dare to live’. I would love to be involved in music production and DJing someday, professionally. Maybe it will happen (provided it’s God’s will, of course 🙂

All for now…
