I haven’t been up to much this weekend… on Friday I went to a music practice at Fordham. It was my first time being involved in a church music group, although I have been involved with the music for the chaplaincy a couple of times. It went well, despite everyone else being about twice as good as me! – I didn’t play much, as I didn’t know most of the songs (it’s for a new songs evening).
On Saturday I just spent a fairly relaxing day not doing much. In the evening Philippa came round for dinner, and then we headed out to the “What?” bar for a while. It was a good evening!
Then on Sunday, we went to Fordham in the morning. In the evening we met up with Luci and had dinner at the Playhouse before going to the cinema to see “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. It was a very enjoyable film – much better than I was expecting it to be. The one they made quite a few years ago to be frank I thought was pretty rubbish… this one was pretty good – very funny in places!
