Day: 26 April 2011

  • Easter and stuff

It’s getting late and I’m very tired, so this will be the quickest ever summary of the past few days:

    • Good Friday. Went to an hour at the cross in the afternoon. Phil went off to stay with her parents overnight, in the evening I went off to the pub with Tom and then ended up back at his for a cocktail party with Clif and a few of her friends.
    • Saturday. Did a few chores in the morning. Spent the afternoon on the walk to Wivenhoe, as it was such a beautiful day. Got a few good pictures. In the evening it was Doctor Who, then Phil got home and we had dinner and watched Doctor Who again. (Well, I watched it again, she hadn’t seen it, so I thought it only fair to let her watch it ;)) Doctor Who was brilliant but more on that some other time.
    • Sunday. Service in the morning, then chillaxing a little bit in the afternoon, then out to the evening service. Then we came back home and watched “Raiders of the Lost Ark”, which I hadn’t seen since… well, I was a child. I enjoyed it – very much a fun, action-y film!
    • Monday. Went on a good long walk with Phil to West Bergholt, which took up most of the day, then came back home and Anne-Marie came round for dinner.

All in all it was a really nice bank holiday 🙂 I hope next weekend is just as good!

I’d post up something about Easter here but given that it’s late and I’m going to fall asleep if I keep doing this, I won’t 😉 Some other time…

  • Day 245: You take the high road…

Daily Shoot assignment: "Illustrate the word choice in a photograph today"

Well, this sign here indicates no less than three ways you can go! To the left, to the right, or what is essentially behind the viewpoint of the photograph.

The sign is in Springfield, Chelmsford by the way. (Random fact: apparently the rector of Springfield Parish Church founded Springfield MA in the USA, found that out today…)
