  • Introducing… Sacred Podcast

I used to have a section on this site about “DJ Stuff”. This is because, in years gone by, I used to do a bit of DJing. With, you know, vinyl and everything. Anyway, I hung up my headphones a while ago and hadn’t done anything for years, but last year on a whim I downloaded Virtual DJ. Technology has come on a long way since starting out about 20 years ago!

Over the last few months I’ve started gradually finding my feet again a little bit, I’ve produced a few mixes, and I felt that maybe the right way forward was to try doing a podcast. That’s what all the cool kids are doing these days! And I thought that a monthly podcast might be doable (although we’ll see about that).

    So… here we are.

You can read a bit more about it on the podcast page if you so desire. Other than that, please share, spread the word, etc.!

  • DJ Mix Archive

Some of you may know, I used to (and still do) do a bit of DJing. I used to have a bunch of mixes uploaded when I had my own webspace, however since I switched to using WordPress hosted I’ve not had a central place to host them (I did try SoundCloud, but that has a limited amount of free space and I didn’t want to pay!)

Anyway, today I discovered MixCloud. It looks ideal for my purposes – archiving my old DJ mixes with tracklistings.

So, if you’re interested in hearing some DJ sets (trance and breakbeat, mainly) from a few years back, head over there.
