We’re starting to hear more about “Covid Anxiety Syndrome”. I believe unless we can stop worrying about covid, we could be anxious forever.
The Daily Mail article I mentioned is here. The QCovid risk calculator is here.
In this video we look at the rest of Revelation chapter 1. What does it teach us about who’s really in charge in the world, and how we should respond to the current circumstances? And what does it say about the way the church has responded to lockdown?
Over the last 15 months we’ve got used to the sight of social media fact-checkers. But are they impartial and unbiased? And is there a deeper problem going on in the field of science?
Over the last 15 months, a lot of churches have not really engaged with what’s been happening with the lockdowns. Perhaps it has been seen as divisive, or a distraction from preaching the gospel. But does not the gospel have something to say about lockdowns, and shouldn’t the church be speaking about it?
In this video I look at the evidence surrounding face masks and some of the complexities involved. At the end of the day, I believe it doesn’t come down to a question of evidence but how we want to be as a society.
Over the last 15 months, we haven’t talked enough about government by consent. In a democracy, the government derives its legitimacy from the will of the people. But has that really happened during the pandemic? In this video I compare seat belts with masks to show how government by consent has changed.
As I mentioned in the video – check out the Smile Free website!
We are often told that restrictions are necessary in order due to worrying variants etc. But is that really “following the science”? I think the lockdowns have rather turned us back towards a dark age of superstition.
One of the things we’ve got used to over the last 15 months is headlines telling us scientists warn against – well, just about everything to do with covid. But how accurate are their warnings? And why are they so doom-laden?
An epiphany I had the other day about the problem with experts, with reference to a book by David Bentley Hart.
Laura Dodsworth’s new book “A State of Fear” is an absolute must-read. Everyone in the country needs to know how the government have intentionally created fear during the pandemic. It needs a response. Here I share a few thoughts and quotes from the book.
Find the book itself here.
