  • Woo-hoo!!!

I’ve just come out of my robot programming exam, the one that I’d been dreading. Well, I have to say — IT WAS GREAT!!! Yeah baby! Ok, if it had just been a ‘normal’ exam I might not be so enthusiastic about it. But I managed to answer most of the questions, I think satisfactorily. I definitely passed, put it that way!

So there you go. Anticipation really is worse than the actual thing (unless it’s in the case of databases. I anticipated it being bad, then not-so-bad… the exam turned out to be absolutely awful.)

Right, now to put up some posters for a video evening being held by the CU this Thursday …

  • Exam went OK today…

Yep! I thought it was OK. I’d done my revision fairly thoroughly so although there were some questions I wasn’t 100% sure about I still (hope) I managed to get a good proportion of the marks!

Um, and I haven’t really done much else. Spent some time chatting with people in the chaplaincy, went for lunch with Mad Welshman Phil and Liz, went to see Alex and play around a little with the video camera (fun!) and, um, this evening I’m going to do some revision for Robot Programming tomorrow. I’m beginning to dread it… that’s not a good thing…

I’m sure it will be fine! I did OK in the coursework… but then I did with databases… RIGHT! THAT’S IT! POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE! 😉

  • Ah, I’m looking forward to the end of the week…

At least by the end of the week I won’t be feeling guilty for not having done revision! Believe it or not, we actually decided to clean our house today! I know it’s shocking, but our bathroom and kitchen are now cleaner than they were before we started to clean them… spent a good couple of hours scrubbing away.

Um, I spent the rest of the time up until dinner revising for my exam tomorrow. You know, I’m actually a bit less worried about that Robotics exam on Wednesday given that there doesn’t look like there’s going to be much in it judging by what the lecturer said in our revision lecture thingy.

I watched Men in Black 2 this evening, that was good! I didn’t think it was that great, but it was quite entertaining. Worth watching once anyway. I’m rather tired… I think I’m going to go to bed soon… it’s all this revision, tires one out 😉

  • The Three Rs:

Revision, Revision, Revision. The rest of the day, that’s what I’ll probably be doing… and, to massacre the English language like those people who came up with the original 3 ‘r’s, (p)Raying. I am now just a little bit worried about my exam on Wednesday… I should be able to get a pass but I really wanted more than that. Anyway, back to today.

This morning, I went into town to get a calculator (for my exam tomorrow — I somehow managed to leave mine in Ipswich…) and bought a couple of records. And that’s just about it! Now back to revision, yay! 😉

  • The rest of today

Nothing much else to report. Went round to see Rich, we chatted for a couple of hours… came back home, have been working on my remix of “Shout to the Lord.” I’m currently uploading it, so by the time you read this if you feel like downloading it to give it a listen, you can download the mp3 (right-click / save target as…)

And then I made sweet and sour chicken for dinner. Haven’t done that in a long time, the only reason I mention it is because my flatmates seemed so shocked at the thought of me cooking… And nothing else to say for the time being. Ah, I don’t know… I think I might watch a film or something. Woo-hoo!

  • Today

    Has been rather interesting.

No not really! Just thought I’d get your hopes up for a change! Ah dear, I’m so sharp I might cut myself… Anyway! This morning I went to Fordham. Twas good. Then I came back. Now I am sitting down typing at my computer, surprisingly enough.

Good ol’ UK, getting ‘nul points’ at the Eurovision last night! Some people said that it was to do with anti-British feelings because of the war in Iraq. I reckon it was half of that and just half the fact that the woman we put up to sing just couldn’t sing…

  • I was right about something…

About this time last year, I was thinking about this year. I was thinking how strange it would be. You see, this time last year I was a first year, in university accomodation. This time next year I’m going to be a third year, facing graduation. It’s a very scary prospect! In a year my degree will be virtually over. That’s just not right…

Anyway, back to reality! I didn’t go into town in the end, I went for a walk instead. Then came back and did some more revison, read a bit more of “Evangelism made slightly less difficult”, made myself some dinner and then mixed for a while. Now, I’m going to sit back and watch “Rat Race” again, I think. I just don’t know whether I can face yet more revision today…

  • I hate being in one of these moods.

At the moment I’m in the kind of mood where I’ve just done a couple of hours of revision, I’m still in the revision mode, but I want to take a break for a while. I thought about watching a film but there’s nothing I want to watch, I don’t really want to do anything. Grrr! I might just take a wander into town just for a bit of relief, see if there are any good DVDs on offer! Actually, there’s a good idea…

  • I’m happy!

My copy of Hybrid’s album “Wider Angle Special Edition” has arrived. It has “Finished Symphony” on it — one of the most beautiful pieces of dance music I’ve ever heard! I wouldn’t really call it dance music — I would say it’s a piece of music in its own right.

Anyway. The Matrix Reloaded — well, it was good. What more can I say? The visuals were absolutely stunning, although having said that there were one or two scenes which looked fairly obviously like they were computer generated.

Cheesy Tunes this evening was good. Probably one of the best that they’ve done this term. It was very cheesy — they even played the hokey-cokey!!! Good stuff 😉

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go listen to some Hybrid and then go to bed…

  • This morning

I might not get a chance to update for a while so I’ll just let you know what’s going on. This morning, I did a bit of revision, listened to some music, in general didn’t do all that much! This afternoon I am going to see the Matrix Reloaded — woohoo!!! I’m really looking forward to it. I don’t care what anyone says about the film, it looks awesome 🙂 I’m going to judge for myself.

After the film, I’m going onto campus for a committee meeting (yeah yeah, I know — dunno why they had to have it on a Friday night but there you go! Only a temporary thing during the exams). And then I’m going to cheesy tunes. Fun fun fun!

I might update later. If not, then I won’t. I’m so clever! Yeah right…
