Daily Shoot assignment: “Today’s color is green. Make a photograph dominated by green today.”
Another day, another photo related to spring 🙂
Daily Shoot assignment: “Today’s color is green. Make a photograph dominated by green today.”
Another day, another photo related to spring 🙂
It’s getting a bit late so a quick summary of the past few days:
An honourable mention has to go to “Twenty Twelve” which was on this evening: it has an all-star cast, and is very funny. It really reminded me of People Like Us. So, that’s all for now…
Daily Shoot assignment: “Make a photograph today that illustrates the idea of freshness to you.”
I’ve been waiting for an excuse to include daffodils in a photo 🙂 I love the fact that the daffs are out now, spring is here! Yay!
Daffodils, to me, are a sign of new life and freshness – things bursting forth from the ground after (as the Beatles put it) a “long, cold, lonely winter”. Well, long and cold anyway. Hooray for daffodils.
Daily Shoot: assignment “Make a photo of two complementary objects arranged in a pleasing composition, one large and one small.”
I thought today I’d make a picture of a CD next to (or on top of) a vinyl record. The difference in size is pretty significant!
That said, I still love vinyl. Even if it’s less practical etc. I’ve tried to clone out most of the dust from the CD but it was impossible to get all of it. Hope it doesn’t spoil the photo too much!
Daily Shoot assignment: “Make a photograph that illustrates a role of technology in your life.”
Well, one thing which has made a big difference is my phone. It’s an HTC Wildfire (an Android phone), which I think is brilliant. It has Sat Nav (demonstrated), Twitter, email, a camera – loads of stuff. And it even makes calls too!
I think it’s amazing how far technology has come in the past five or ten years, and I’ve tried to illustrate that with this photo.
Oh, and on another note: day 200 of my Project 365! Yay!
Daily Shoot assignment: “Make a photograph that illustrates randomness in some way today.”
Well, my shot is… a cup of tea! I think this illustrates randomness pretty well: hot tea is a strong Brownian Motion producer, as anyone who’s ever listened to / read the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy will know. (Well, perhaps in my case, you’ve listened to it far too many times…)
Unfortunately you can’t actually illustrate the brownian motion itself, but this will have to do!
Daily Shoot assignment: “Make a photograph of a beautiful simple shape, such as an egg, today. Utilize lighting and focus to make it sing.”
Well this is a pretty simple shape – it’s a blue coloured stone. We have a few of these out in the garden, and I decided to bring it in today and clean it up a little!
I think it works well although as always I’m never 100% sure about these close-up shots. Still.
Daily Shoot assignment: “Make a photograph that features water in one way or another today.”
Another picture of the Chelmer this week, from a different angle! I think it definitely involves water, though.
Shame it wasn’t such a nice day, but I still think the sky is quite striking.
Daily Shoot assignment: “Make a feeling that conveys a sense of being outdoors today.”
Well, I was thinking about what I love about the outdoors, and I think this captures it to an extent.
It was a cloudless blue sky, nice sunny day, and I was able just to get out into the area and wander around. I don’t think this photo can really convey the full sense of it (you can’t hear the birds singing etc), but I hope it gives a sense!
This weekend started off nicely: we had Friday night free due to JOY (more on that later), so we just had the night in and didn’t do very much. It was a rather nice evening anyway!
On Saturday we spent the morning doing various chores, and then in the evening we headed out to Fordham for the fourth JOY event. This is a youth event that happens with the churches in Colchester together. There were various activities / workshops, a speaker, music, etc. All good stuff. I think everyone had a good time, and we certainly enjoyed it.
On Sunday we went to the 11:15 service at Eight Ash Green, and then went to Harry and Rosemary’s (friends from church) for lunch and had a good time chatting with them. Then in the evening we went to Sunday@6, came back home and chilled out for the rest of the evening.
So not much going on to be honest! But nice to have a slightly quieter weekend for a change.
