House Update
Just a quick update about the house situation I mentioned a little while back. We have finally exchanged contracts (yay!), and the completion date is set for next Friday (6th July). We’re aiming to move the weekend after that (14th July). So, watch this space! I just wanted to update, I’m rather excited…

Where are you all coming from?
I’ve noticed a few random links popping up on my referalls list recently. Some of them come from forums on .edu websites. What gives? What’s going on all of a sudden on .edu websites which makes people want to link here? Particularly strange is the fact that most of them aren’t accessible from the outside…

The Weekend
So… it’s time for another “The Weekend” post! On Friday evening, I went round to Wivenhoe to help Alex clear up the house before moving out, and also to have some fish & chips. We got them from Henleys because we didn’t have time to go down to Papa’s… I have to say, despite Henley’s…

Site Hacked
There’s been an exploit going round recently (well, actually, for quite a while) which involves websites running cPanel (I think). A couple of weeks ago, someone managed to hack into this site and append some <SCRIPT> tags to the bottom of each index.php, the purpose of which was to download a virus to the unsuspecting…

Search Engines
Matthew made a blog post the other day about search engines: in an article, Google came out with one of the worst privacy policies of any internet company. Matthew wanted to try out some various different search engines… read the blog post for more info! Anyway, I’m a fan of the Google search engine in…

How does that work then?
Currently the number of downloads of my Facebook Photo Uploader stands at 47. And yet… there are three users. How is that supposed to work then? I’m wondering if it’s some automated web crawler which has picked up the link from here… seems strange that they would download something like that though! I’m just trying…

Last week…?
Hmm, I just realised that I didn’t write my customary “The Weekend” post this weekend. Well, I’m afraid that it was such a long time ago I can’t really remember much of what happened! It did involve going over to my parents’, as it was my Dad’s birthday. It also involved watching “Hot Fuzz” on…

Facebook Uploader available for download
I mentioned a little while back that I was writing a Java desktop application which could be used if you wanted to upload photos to Facebook (if, like me, you had trouble using the Facebook-provided uploader applet). Anyway, I have put the project onto Google Code, and created a release (beta). So, if you want…
