I need to get an amp and speakers for my decks as monitors. At the moment I’m not using anything particularly powerful (running it through my computer) which isn’t ideal really! Need something bigger…
9:00 lecture tomorrow, am not looking forward to it. Oh funge. C’est la vie, I guess…
Ah… I am rather tired, so apologies if the speling an gramma aint up to its usual standards. Or the writing style. Or indeed, the content.
What did I get up to today? Nothing much really, as per usual! More than I have been, though. Went in for my 9:00 lecture. Oh the fun! Still, not many more 9:00s to go this year, yay! Um, spent some time in the labs, had lunch with Philippa and Matthew, then went for a lecture. Spent the afternoon with Mad Welshman Phil and Alex, then went to an evangelistic thing in the chaplaincy. Well, it was more of a discussion about how to do evangelistic stuff. It was good 🙂
After that I went to Sizzlers with a whole bunch of people from the CU. Then the main CU meeting itself. After CU, I waited around for a while then went into town with Philippa, Julie (from the Thursday Fusion Group and CU, although I don’t know her very well) and a couple of other people. Went for a drink with Phil in town, then came back home.
I am so glad that I don’t have anything to get up for tomorrow 🙂
We’ve been having internet troubles here. It seems to be working ok now… at least for the moment. Anyway, that’s why I didn’t post anything earlier!
This morning I went in for my 9:00 lecture, computer graphics. Then I stayed around until my 2:00 lecture. Ah, great fun! Actually it wasn’t too bad, chaplaincy lunch was good — a fair few people there today. Spent time chatting with Matthew, Gavin… went for a bar breakfast with PhilB… good stuff!
Then I went into town, bought a couple of records, came back home… Foz came round for a bit. Then, uh, I didn’t really do much the rest of the day! Woo-hoo! 🙂
… was pretty good! Came back home, went round to Foz’s, then to the office with Foz to see Rich, then onto Kube, then back to Foz’s again. All of them involved spending time on the decks 🙂 That was probably the most time I’ve spent DJing in one day since I started…
Um, and haven’t really done much else! Woo-hoo!
Went to Fordham this morning. It was good, although the sermon was quite hard to grasp! It was on Romans 11 (the first part). The conclusion was apparently an “antinomy”, which is a conclusion with two logical but diametrically opposed options. These being that God puts people in a ‘stupor’ so they don’t feel excited by the gospel; and the second that God holds people resonsible for not believing in Him. How you can reconcile these two — well, I think that’s just impossible. You just have to believe it. After all, if we understood everything about God then we would be God! And no faith would be needed.
So yes. Expect further bulletins as events warrant (so not much then.)
Nothing much really! No change there, eh? I went out to Cheesy Tunes and Spin on Friday. Spin was awful… it was so boring! They play WAY too much r’n’b… it all sounded like one long track with a few breaks. Oh well, c’est la vie.
This afternoon I did my radio show at 2 followed by the CU mix. It was quite good fun 🙂
And then, as you say, I went to Joe’s party which was also good fun, although I didn’t stay very late. Have to be up for Church tomorrow morning, will probably go to bed soon.

I am currently at Phil’s house for Joe’s party. Simon has been complaining at me that I haven’t updated this for over 24 hours. Personally I think he reads this too much. I mean, what idiot would want to read this? Seriously.
This also begs the question, what idiot would want to keep writing this if only idiots want to read it? Well, that’s a question that you’ll have to answer yourselves. I highly suggest the UCCF training weekends, but only if the Essex CU committtee are there. Spend enough time with them and you might even end up like me… Mur Ha HA HAA!!!

I thought I’d post a blog again, seeing as I’m not going to get around to posting one this evening probably! The day so far: I went in for my 11:00 databases lecture, which was muchos funos. Oh yes. The most exciting databases lecture I’ve ever been to… NOT!!! Although considering I only went to three the term before last, it wouldn’t have been hard…
Then was committee meeting. Although because of my lecture I missed the first 45 minutes, it was still the shortest committee meeting ever including what I missed! I arrived, we carried on for another ten minutes then prayed and finished. It’s amazing, you know…
Then I had lunch with Matthew, and headed back home where I have been doing not much really. I guess I should start revising in earnest at some point, but I haven’t reached that point just yet…
Anyway. Tonight I am going to cheesy tunes followed by Spin. To be honest I really don’t know why I go to spin, I’m not a big fan of r’n’b. But tonight should be a bit better as there a few more people going 🙂
I’ve got in the habit of not posting anything on my blog before the evening! Bad habit of mine… having said that, I didn’t really have a chance earlier. Anyway. What did I do today? This morning I was supposed to go in for a 9:00 lecture, but decided not to… me waking up at 10:00 had something to do with that 😉
So I went in for my java lecture at 3:00 this afternoon. Then I spent a while with Philippa (we tried to find a computer with a scanner so I could add her picture to the ‘Mount Philmore’ picture, but unfortunately we couldn’t find one, so we went to Top Bar for a drink for half an hour instead). Then I went to my operating systems lecture, then back to Joe’s to watch some stuff. We watched some Blackadder, followed by “Shallow Hal”. Both were great 🙂
Then I came home, listened to some music, burnt the chillout CD I’m making with Naomi to CD… and now I’m going to read a bit of Adrian Plass’ new book before going to bed. Lecture at 11:00 tomorrow, so fortunately I don’t have to get up early!
I’ve been up chatting to someone till now about the Bible and stuff, one of my DJ mates who I’ve never actually met in person, I just chat to online! Been a very interesting conversation too. It must have been last night’s talk! Hehe 😉
Um, what did I do today? Went into town, bought a few records (Goldenscan – Of Our Times; Coast 2 Coast – Searching; DT8 – Destination; Milk Inc – Land of the Living). Then I went into uni for my Graphics lecture, went down to the chaplaincy and chatted for a while… went for dinner, went to fusion, went to Philippa’s with Richard for a hot chocolate then went with them to Mad Welshman Phil’s place for a bit where there were various people watching some random film with Winona Ryder.
Did that make any sense at all? No? Oh well.
