The Weekend

I just thought I’d better make my customary ‘The Weekend’ post, seeing as if I didn’t some of you might be worried!

I didn’t do very much at all, actually. On Sunday morning I went to Fordham, that was good! On Sunday afternoon Philippa got back from Austria, so she came round. In the evening we went to say “The Wedding Crashers” together. It was really funny, Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are both good comedy actors!

Anyway, not much else to say for the moment really. I did come across some good verses in Proverbs, though, which seemed quite appropriate for these troubled times! I’ll just finish with them.

My son, preserve sound judgment and discernment,
       do not let them out of your sight;

    they will be life for you,
       an ornament to grace your neck.

    Then you will go on your way in safety,
       and your foot will not stumble;

    when you lie down, you will not be afraid;
       when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

    Have no fear of sudden disaster
       or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked,

    for the LORD will be your confidence
       and will keep your foot from being snared.
PROVERBS 3:21-26
