Thank Heaven for Air Conditioning!

Today has been an exceedingly hot day. At least, it has been in our office. For some reason our office is particularly warm, which means that it gets uncomfortably hot in this kind of weather. We seriously need some air conditioning in there… I have a feeling I’m not going to get much work done this week. Mainly because it’s difficult to work when it’s so hot, but partly because if it gets as hot as they say it’s going to get, I’m simplly going to expire because of the heat.

Fortunately I have air conditioning in the car, which meant that at least the journey home was bearable (small consolation really, but still!).

Anyway, I’d better tell you what I did over the weekend. You know, just to keep up the tradition… well. On Friday night we didn’t do much (I have to say ‘we’ now because, of course, there are two of us living here…). On Saturday, we went into town. I bought a few new DVDs (Blackadder Back and Forth, and Family Guy: Stewie Griffin – The Untold Story); and a new CD (the best of R.E.M. 1998-2003). Also bought a few new clothes. In the evening we just chilled out and watched “Sky High”, which I bought on DVD last week… it is a good film 🙂

Yesterday, we went down to London to see my niece’s baptism. It was a really nice day. The baptism went well, and it was good to see some of the family again! We went round to theirs for lunch afterwards, and had a really nice time. It was such a beautiful afternoon! Unfortunately the day was tainted slightly by us being held up for about an hour on a busy train with no air conditioning on our journey back, but still. We managed to get home and collapse OK!

Anyway, I’m rathered tired so am going to head to bed now. All for now, for the time being!

  1. I’d be interested to hear what you think of the Family Guy/Stewie Griffin thing … I was a bit disappointed really! But then I did get it in an offer for anout £6 …

Any other good DVDs you can recommend?

  2. I’d heard that the untold story wasn’t that good either, but then I got it for about £3 so I wasn’t complaining!

Other good DVDs… well, I haven’t really bought much recently 🙁 I’ve just been watching lots of Futurama!
