Well, the flower in this picture is stationary, but the camera lens is moving. I think it gives quite a trippy effect – I can’t look at the photo for too long without giving me a headache (remind me why I’m uploading this again… just kidding).

DISCLAIMER: I take no responsibility for any headaches you may suffer while looking at this picture :p

Well the path here runs beside the river, you can’t see it but it carries on down the line of trees. I think this one turned out quite well.

  • Project 365 Intermission

In case anyone follows this blog for my photos (hey, it’s not that surprising, given that it’s all I post about these days): there will be an intermission during which I will not be posting up photos. The reason for this is that, well, see my previous post.

I’ll be taking photos though – even if they’re not of the high quality you would normally expect from me (*cough cough* yeah right *cough cough*)

I took a few photos today of Ely Cathedral, unfortunately it wasn’t a sunny day so they were a bit drab. Maybe tomorrow it will be sunny, in which case I will pop out and take a few pictures (we’re only a few minutes down the road from the cathedral so I can do that without too much trouble).

Aaaaanyway. Everyone else here has gone to bed (lightweights!) so I think that means it’s also time for me to hit the sack. Until next time…

  • BAP and ting

First up, I apologize for any spelling or grammar errors in this post: I’m writing from my phone, first time I’ve properly used the WordPress app I think.

Anyway, first things first: quick summary of the weekend:

    Friday night – 21

Saturday – dropped Phil off at the station (she was going to Preston to see our friend Jo), mowed lawn, did some shopping, hair cut etc. Got lots done. In the evening AM and Sarah came round and I made spag bol – not my best ever but not bad.

Sunday – church in the morn, then not much in the afternoon, turn popped round to AM and Sarah’s for a bit in the evening.

Right. Now to talk about what’s happening over the next couple of days: I am on a train to Ely. I’m going on what is called a Bishop’s Advisory Panel. From this afternoon until Wed afternoon I will be observed, interviewed, and have to complete a number of physical and mental challenges. In order to prevent nuclear war with China. (some of that may not be true under the traditional definition of true.)

They are going to decide whether they want to sponsor me for training for ministry in the Church of England. So, by around April 1st I will hopefully know whether I’m going to theological college next year…

Apologies for the brevity of this, but we are getting close to the station (not Ely, just ipswich where I’m changing…)

So hopefully that fills you in a bit about what’s going on. I’ll post more soon!

This is the door handle from St Leanord’s at The Hythe in Colchester. The door itself is pretty ancient – there are holes on it dating from the civil war! I don’t know how old this handle is but I’m guessing pretty ancient also.

This was taken from a little nature reserve not far from Castle Park in Colchester. It was a beautiful day today!

Well when I think there’s something very comforting in the winter months when it’s cold and dark outside to have a candle lit.

Although it’s not so cold here any more, I still think this gives an impression of warmth 🙂

Well in the photo today, my hand is playing the piano. (To be completely honest, it’s just posing – I couldn’t play and take the photo at the same time 😉

I’m not sure whether I’ve completely grasped the spirit of this assignment, but I think I’ve got the letter down: it’s taken outside, and there is no obvious horizon line because there isn’t a horizon line!
