Well, I’ve got the new design up and running. I think I’ve still got some work to do (‘some work’ will probably translate into ‘re-designing the whole thing from the ground up again – twice!’) but still. All I have to do now is add a photo gallery. I might put my ‘Open-Source’ page back as well.
I have to say I’m quite impressed with WordPress – it’s pretty flexible! I’ll have to have a good old browse of the plugin list at some point, see if there’s anything there I could use here…
Love the new look! I agree – WordPress is fab – although I doubt I’ll be doing anything as technical as designing my own theme. I guess I’ll just have to continue pinching other people’s! But then, that’s the good thing about open source software!
Yeah, that’s right – the only reason I’m using a custom template is because then I know I can do exactly what I like with it, I know how it’s put together. This means if I want to add a photo gallery or something I’ve got a better chance of integrating it well. With a template this isn’t always possible, although to be honest it doesn’t really make a huge difference!
Nice design Phill, well done! Interesting that all three of us have migrated to WordPress.
I am a big fan of white – it helps to be able to read webpages sometimes!
