Cloud Appreciation

I’ve just found an interesting website — the Cloud Appreciation Society! Trust me, it’s well worth having a look. Here’s a couple of quotes from the ‘about’ section of their website:

At The Cloud Appreciation Society we believe that clouds are unjustly maligned and that life would be immeasurably poorer without them

We pledge to fight ‘blue-sky thinking’ wheresoever we find it. Life would be dull if we had to look up at monotonous blue every day. The clouds are Nature’s poetry – sometimes spoken in a whisper, sometimes roared with all her might

And… that’s it.

In other lack of news, I have done nothing interesting over the past couple of days. So there you go.

  1. Funny, that’s exactly what I’ve been doing most of today! Must be a fashionable trend, 2006’s must-have experience, the whole “I’ve done nothing in particular today” feeling! And of course blogs are wonderful conveyors of these sorts of revelation – what other everyday tool could adequately showcase people’s lack of activity to a world hungry for news of such general inactivity? “None!” I hear you cry. And you may well cry, desperate times call for desperate measures. But now is not the time for cowering in corners, we must embrace this new world with vigour and with empowered open arms… and sit and watch daytime tv.

  2. I’m far too apathetic to reply to that comment. *reaches for the TV remote, discovers it’s out of range, and decides to sit and look at the wall for the evening*

  3. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! That’s quite a find, Mr Phill! Good work … Now I need to go and re-organise my DVD collection alphabetically by the surname of the 2nd Assistant Director. As you can tell … I’m extremely busy!

  4. With your DVD collection — you could probably employ someone full-time for, oooh, at least a couple of hours… 😉 But Joe – what if those DVDs don’t have a second assistant director?

What will you do, Joe? WHAT WILL YOU DO!?!?

The second assistant directors, they haunt me! AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!

*ahem* Thankyou, and good afternoon. or something.
