  • Hmmm

Well, I came onto campus for about 12:00 again and went the Robotics lab, only to find that the stuff wasn’t set out because it isn’t our lab time today. I was under the impression that the stuff would be left out even in the non-allocated lab time, but apparently not. The postgrads were using it, so I spent a few minutes in there just tidying up some code, and then got a drink and went to the chaplaincy for a while, chatted to Joe for a bit. Then I came to Lab 5 (my favourite lab; this is where most of my project was done) and worked on the write-up for the robotics assignment. I’ve got about 1,000 words written which I don’t think is too bad! Admittedly I do have a (new-found, since my project) capacity to waffle on for hours about stuff, but this is probably a good thing if what you are waffling on about is at least a bit relevant.

Anyway. I’m going to nip out and get a drink, then come back to the lab until about 5, and then go and meet Joe. Joe’s coming round to our house later; we’re going to go to the fish and chip shop (or possibly the Rose & Crown) for dinner and then watch a film or something. Tis all good…

Anyway, that’s enough for today. Three updates in as many days — count yourselves lucky! All you millions of people who read this blog…

  • Ah, the fun…

Went onto campus. Worked on my robotics assignment. Getting there — very slowly. Still, I’ve got a few more days to work on it… hopefully I’ll finish the practical stuff on Thursday or before so I can get around to doing the write-up. And revising…

Uh, came back home, had dinner, went for a walk, did some reading… nothing particularly exciting! Alex, Ash and Phil have all gone home now. It’s not going to be the most exciting few days I’ve ever had — but then, I suppose when I go home it’s going to be even less exciting. C’est la vie — that’s the way the cookie crumbles. That’s how Easter holidays are with work etc…

  • Today

I don’t really know why I’m going to bother updating. I haven’t actually done much all day… I didn’t go to Church this morning. After Starsky & Hutch last night (which, incidentally, was very good) I went round to Philippa’s for a hot chocolate, and got home early this morning. That was the last time I will see Phil for a couple of weeks… today was a bit of a comedown really. It has been a good weekend, and then today there weren’t many people in! Alex has gone home, Phil P appears to be out (at Esther’s, presumably)… ah well. Onward we go.

I’m rather tired so I’ll probably go to bed relatively early tonight, and be up for work tomorrow — into university to the robotics lab! The timetabled lab time for me is 9:30-12:30… I doubt I’ll be up that early! But I might go onto campus in the morning and stay there for lunch.

That’s it from me… I probably won’t update all that much over the next few weeks, because not much will be going on. So don’t expect anything…

  • Righty then

What have I been up to – quick summary! Finished off my CC371 assignment and handed that in… worked a bit on my robotics… went to theology seminar, went to the pub for Ian’s birthday, went to Cheesy Tunes, Philippa stayed round for the night… which brings us up to the present.

Tonight I’m going to see ‘Starsky and Hutch’ with Philippa; it should be really good!

    Uh, that’s about it. Later…

  • Well, it’s handed in

I handed it in yesterday! That was a good feeling 🙂 Now it’s just a matter of doing my Formal Methods assignment (which is very nearly completed) and my Mobile Robotics assignment (getting there slowly… but that doesn’t have to be in until after Easter).

Anyway, what have I been up to? The answer to that question is – not a whole lot. Yesterday I came onto campus for bar breakfast at 10:00, then went to the robotics lab to work on my assignment, then at 3 met up with Philippa for an hour, then went back home and… well, didn’t do much for the rest of the day. I didn’t go to the CU Social, although apparently it was good (they went to ‘Go Bananas’, a kids place…).

Today, I had lunch and then came onto campus with Naomi. Someone’s doing a Monty Python show in June and needed people for it, so I went to an audition. It was quite fun actually, had to do a silly walk and sing the first verse of the Lumberjack Song which was fun! I have a few parts, which is cool 🙂

And now I’m in the chaplaincy updating my blog. I was going to work on my Formal Methods, but unfortunately I left it at home (D’oh!!!). I could do some robotics, but it doesn’t seem worth it for an hour. Ah well, c’est la vie. Or something. For fusion this evening we’re just going to have a prayer meeting, it probably won’t last for very long. And then I might go round to Philippa’s for a hot chocolate or something; I don’t know. It’s all good. Unless it’s bad…

Feeling a bit apathetic at the moment, now that my project is over and done with I don’t really have anything to do! (Apart from aforementioned assignments). Oh well, that’s just life I suppose. I might go for a wander around the lake, it’s been such a beautiful day. I’ll leave it there; ta ta for now…

  • Final year project…

I’ve just handed in my final year project report to be bound! Both copies of it. And I’ve burnt both CDs… yay! Fun fun fun in the sun sun sun. I’m going to hand it in today, two days early! Excellent.

Anyway, that’s all for now… I have to go and pick up the copies and then hand it in. Exsqueeze me…

  • Hmmm

Well I did post something up yesterday, but Blogger decided to go down right about then. Nevermind. I didn’t say anything interesting anyway… and there’s nothing to say now either. I’ve nearly finished my final year project report! Just a matter of collating it now, and just checking that there’s nothing missing.

Um, and that’s about it. I’m not going out tonight, I don’t feel like going to cheesy or anything. So I’ll just be boring and stay home…

  • And again.

Another quick update (I’m trying to be good and update more regularly…)

I have nearly finished my final year project! In that, I’ve pretty much done every section except for the conclusions chapter. Of course, there’s still a lot of work to do in terms of going through, checking I haven’t missed anything out, and just in general making sure that it’s all correct but other than that — woo-hoo!!!

So that’s what I’ve been doing today. As well as my Middleware test… it turned out to actually be OK. Well, it didn’t seem too hard as I was doing it… usually when I get that feeling about exams I haven’t done badly (if I think I’ve done badly I usually have). I’ll probably go to CU this evening. A few new records arrived this morning but unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to listen to them before I left the house. I’m looking forward to listening to them when I get back though, I’ve got a Gabriel & Dresden remix of Sarah McLachlan – ‘Fallen’ (I think that’s the title), that ought to be good!

Right then. Time to get something to eat methinks. Later…

  • Robotics labs…

I’m currently sitting in a robotics lab, wondering why I bother. I just never get anything productive done in these labs at all! I’ve signed in, so in a minute I’m going to head off to another computer lab and do some revision for my Middleware progress test tomorrow.

I haven’t done much today, it’s just been a matter of coming onto campus for chaplaincy lunch, and then coming down to this robotics lab. The CU were giving out free fair trade tea and coffee in the LTB earlier, so I went down to get a free cup of tea… it was good 🙂

I think now would be a good time for an espressochoc and then hitting the lab…

  • Um… yeah

Friday: went to lectures. Went to ‘5,6,7,8’ in the evening, a dance production which Maria and Gemma and Jenny (from CU) were in. It was very good!

Saturday, did my radio show. That’s about it. Today… I’ve done even less. It’s fantastic, isn’t it?

One thing I can say though — I’ve finished the testing of m project! So now I only have the evaluation to do (yeah, great…)
